Stuart I. Oran is a Senior Advisor and Partner Emeritus of Liberty Hall. Prior to joining Liberty Hall in 2011, Mr. Oran served as an advisor to several private equity firms and aerospace businesses on more than twenty-five transactions. Mr. Oran is also a co-founder of FCB Financial Holdings, which was formed to acquire failed banks in FDIC-assisted transactions that raised over $900 million in capital and was acquired by Synovus Financial in 2019. From 1994-2002, he was a senior executive of United Airlines where he served on the Management Committee, led its International Division, and built its corporate aviation business. Mr. Oran began his career in 1974 at the law firm of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison where he rose to become a senior corporate partner and advised Mr. Taylor beginning in 1992.

Mr. Oran currently serves on the board of directors of Dunlop Aircraft Tyres and previously served on the board of directors of Accurus Aerospace Corporation, AIM Aerospace Corporation, Aircraft Performance Group, Comply365, United Air Lines (operating subsidiary), Spirit Airlines, OHA Investment Corporation, FCB Financial Holdings, Deerfield Capital, Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Wendy’s International. Mr. Oran earned his B.S. from Cornell University and J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.
